News: Superman Accident Report Is BackBy Chain Dawg |
May. 7th, 2004 -- The use of T-bars as a primary restraint will now be banned (in MA), officials say. Among the state's 40 permanent amusement parks, only Superman Ride of Steel is affected, and the park must either replace the T-bar with a new device or acquire a state-approved fix from the manufacturer. In addition, the report found that Six Flags New England ride operators were also to blame for failing to make sure that Stanley Mordarsky, 55, was properly secured by the restraints. Mordarskly was thrown from his seat toward the end of the ride and was pronounced dead at a local hospital. For more, please visit the Boston Herald. Related: |
