May. 17th, 2004 -- The Maryland Court of Appeals has thrown out a $2.5 million civil verdict in a racial discrimination lawsuit against Six Flags America.The Court of Appeals ruled that lawyers for the plantiffs in the case wrongfully used insinuations of racial discrimination in the lawsuit. In 1999, a family was at the Largo, Maryland amusement park when they were told their child was too short to ride the Typhoon SeaCoaster. The family refused to leave their boat, and a scuffle ensued.
