News: More info on Dorney accident

By Jill Anne

May. 20th, 2004 -- Several panicked riders scrambled from their seats around 4:20 on Sunday when the log flume at Dorney Park halted on the lift hill. This is a minor incident that will be investigated thoroughly by state Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Rides and Attractions.

A "small mechanical arm" stuck out and kept the log that Sheila Clever and her 13-year-old daughter were in from cresting the lift and plunging to the pool below. Another log came up behind them, and they became scared and evacuated the ride.
