News: Mr. Six Look-Alike Contest a success

By Jenny

Jul. 11th, 2004 -- Six Flags gave $2,500 in cash at the first Mr. Six Look-Alike Contest at Six Flags Great America on Friday.

Mr. Six's first appearance at the contest was a major success for the park. Since his debut in March, Mr. Six, the new Six Flags Ambassador of Fun, has gotten a major response from the media and the public.

There were over 200 contest participants from across the country, but Mr. Six found the winner right in his own back yard. Jordan Pope, 13, from Prophetstown, Ill., picked up the cash prize of $2,500 as well as other prizes.

Pope was noted to have mastered Mr. Six's dance, though all of the finalists danced in their tuxedos and red bow ties to the Mr. Six theme song "We Like to Party" by the Vengaboys.
