Jul. 23rd, 2004 -- John P. Boylin, Jr., the owner of Camden Park in West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 63. Boylin Jr. was responsible for reviving the stuggling amusement park back in the 1990's. Boylin's father, John P. Boylin Sr., purchased the park in 1946 and operated it until 1980. Boylin Jr. became the owner in 1995 after an investment group ran the park into debt and help turned it's fortunes around. For more information, see: Huntington Herald-Dispatch |
