News: Alleged bully attacked at Lake Compounce

Jul. 27th, 2004 -- 46 year-old Linda Mammola has been charged after assaulting an 11 year-old boy at Lake Compounce today. Mammola claimed the boy threw away a water toy belonging to her son, at which point Mammola slapped the boy, pulled his hair, and kicked him in the crotch within full view of visitors. He was not seriously injured, according to police.

Authorities also stated that Mammola slapped a bystander who tried to stop her. Mammola was charged with several counts and will appear in court August second. Park officials have revoked her season pass and have banned her from the park.
