News: Power outage strikes Knott's

By Aaron

Aug. 5th, 2004 -- A large power outage hit over 100,000 customers in Orange County yesterday afternoon. One such affected customer was Knotts Berry Farm.

The lack of power left the park's rides inoperative, stranding cars and trains on lift hills. Park employees began immediately escorting stuck visitors off of the rides. Power was restored to Knott's Berry Farm after about twenty minutes.

In addition to affecting Knott's, the power outage also caused problems in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, Fullerton, and Westminster. It is still unclear as to what may have caused the loss of power.
