News: 2-year-old kicked out of Valleyfair

Aug. 9th, 2004 -- A twin cities woman and her daughter were escorted from Valleyfair! last week and issued a citation for trespassing. The woman had been asked to leave the park after refusing to put a bathing suit top on her daughter in the parks Whitewater Country Waterpark. The mother of the child insisted that the little boys in the children's play area did not have shirts on and that was ok and it wasn't like her daughter was growing breasts yet.

Park management commented on the woman's complaint by saying that the park must make a stand as to what is acceptable. They said they must draw the line that this type of attire, or lack thereof, is not acceptable at the park at any age. The mother of the child hopes to convince Valleyfair! to alter it's rules regarding attire for children in the waterpark to allow her daughter to be just like one of the boys.
