News: Riders stuck on Chiller at SFGAdvBy Aaron |
Aug. 18th, 2004 -- In one of two incidents at Great Adventure today, guests found themselves upside-down for longer then they expected on The Chiller roller coaster. At 3:30 local time, a train unexpectedly stopped upside-down about 75 feet from the ground with 20 passengers on board. Forty minutes later, workers lowered the train to a point where guests could get off. There were no injuries as a result of the problem. It remains unknown if this was connected to a power outage that struck the park. The cause of the problem is under investigation by the state. For pictures and more information, see 7online.com. |
