News: Mayor moves to block MB Pavilion move

Aug. 23rd, 2004 -- Myrtle Beach mayor Mark McBride wants his city council to use it's power to stop a development corporation from relocating Myrtle Beach Pavilion. A city council motion on Tuesday could prevent the Pavilion from leaving downtown.

The mayor does not want to see the amusement park leave its location, but would love to see it improved. He is also concerned that his citizens could be footed with the bill if Myrtle Beach Pavilion is relocated.
