Oct. 24th, 2004 -- Bushkill Park, a small family amusement park in Northeastern Pennsylvania, is beginning the process of recovering from a flood that resulted from rains with Hurricane Ivan. Water Lines suggest the waters rose to 8 to 10 feet, destroying rides and pavilions in the park. The storm is estimated to have cost the park no less than $400,000 in damages. The park has only $100,000 in flood insurance, so they will apply for a small business loan. Many rides, including the park's Pretzel dark ride was completely destroyed. The 102-year-old park could reopen next year if everything goes smoothly. They also need help from volunteers to help with clean-up.
