Dec. 7th, 2004 --
At noon Pacific Time today, Silver Bullet, the brand new inverted roller coaster at Knott's Berry Farm, officially opened. In honor of the 63rd anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, the ceremony included a salute by various military commanders. Other special guests included ACE members, Cedar Fair CEO Richard Kinzel, Santa Claus, and sixty lucky people who paid between $100 and $500 for a seat on the first two trains to leave the station. The $16 million dollar ride stands 146 feet tall and features six inversions with a top speed of 55 mph. See NBC4 for pictures of the event. Visit Business Wire for the media day press release. |
