Hersheypark has announced that Turbulence, their previously announced drop coaster, has been cancelled due to the ride manufacturer's refusal to provide the ride as specified in its contract.In response to this, Hersheypark has developed alternate plans as follows:
General Manager Frank O'Connell made the following statement about the changes to the 2005 plans: "Although plans for Turbulence had been eagerly anticipated, guests will find these additions are in keeping with Hersheypark’s reputation as the leader in family fun and entertainment, We will continue to provide something for every member of the family. We’ve also enhanced this nostalgic area by providing a pleasant venue for our guests who want to relax in a beautifully landscaped environment."
