News: Legoland to host kid-friendly New YearsBy Aaron |
Dec. 21st, 2004 -- On Dec. 31, when the clocks strike 6 p.m. on the Pacific coast, it means 2005 is still six hours off. For those at Legoland California, 6 p.m. will be the time of celebration as the theme park rings in the new year with a special kid-friendly party. The New Years "celebricktion" begins at 3 p.m. with dancing, music, and children sharing their New Years resolutions. At 6 p.m. a giant Lego brick will drop 22 feet in the park's version of the famous Times Square ball drop. A fireworks show ends the festivities. The party is free with admission to the park. Guests will get a variety of souvenirs, including a commemorative Lego piece. See Yahoo Finance for more information. |
