News: Scottish park feeling tsunami ripplesBy Aaron |

Jan. 4th, 2005 --
More then a week after a series of deadly tsunamis struck Southeast Asia, a theme park in Scotland has come under fire for advertising a ride named Tsunami. Tsunami is a small Pinfari-built inverted roller coaster with two inversions that opened at the park last year. Ads have been placed on local buses to spread the word about the ride. Some residents, however, feel the ads are insensitive to a disaster that has killed around 150,000 people. Park officials suggest that people focus on helping those affected by the tsunamis then worrying about the ride's name. The park has said that Tsunami's name will not change.
