News: Strike at Six Flags New EnglandBy Aaron |
Feb. 4th, 2005 -- Yesterday at noon, 12 workers at Six Flags New England went on strike outside of the amusement park. The employees are mechanics and communication workers. The strikers have a litany of complaints against the park. One of the mechanics, Robert Farris, complained that SNFE has shifted their hours around without asking, decreased the amount of time they get off, and has forced them to use their personal vehicles to do their jobs. The employees are also seeking join a union; currently no SFNE workers belong to unions. Six Flags announced it was surprised at the move, but declined to comment further.
