News: Gambling at Cedar Point could be realityBy Aaron |
Mar. 11th, 2005 -- Cedar Point, famous for it's collection of thrilling rides, could be permitted to add thrills of a different sort come November. A proposition on the ballot would make it possible for cities with over 50,000 residents or counties that draw over a million visitors a year to add gambling attractions. If the measure is approved, the amusement park has indicated an interest in gambling. According to Cedar Fair head Richard Kinzel, gambling is all part of the park's business of entertaining people. Gaming could also be approved in Warren County, the site of Paramount's Kings Island. For more on the gambling initiative, see The Morning Journal. |
