This ride is absolutely AMAZING! This is my second GCI, but my first GCI with Millennium Flyer trains, and I have to tell ya, there good. I love them. But ok, back to the coaster.

Once you are released from the lift, the ride doesn't slow down until it hits the brake run. There is no slow spots at all! The trains glide through the track. The banked curves are amazing! The fly-bye is awesome!

All in all, this coaster is my new #1 wooden roller coaster, by far!!!

It's a great wooden coaster but it doesn't have any air time.

The best woodie I have been on, and that's a bit of an accomplishment. The laterals are fun, the front seat in the open-aired Flyers is awesome, and there is airtime, in contradiction to another review: it's a lot of little floating air! The coaster is beautiful also, and the elements rock (the first drop, the fan turn, the fly-through, more banked curves, it's all great).

Definately worth a trip to Dollywood if you are within 10 hours!!

Amazing woodie! It's a combination of great laterals and nice airtime. The spped just never lets up until the end. It is also silk smooth.

This is a very solid roller coaster. I couldnt get off the thing I enjoyed it so much. Quite smooth for a woodie at that. I went in the middle of summer and the lines were pretty short so I was easily able to ride in every seat on the coaster. Im a natural front see fanatic, but this ride is intense in every seat. I recommend this coaster to everyone. It is EASILY in my top 2 favorite wooden roller coasters. Sorry Thunderhead, but Ghostrider will continue to hold the top spot though in my book :).

Thunderhead is the best woodie i have ever ridden. Great turns and twists. The best seat is the ront because you can see everything before it happens... like the lifthill. GREAT RIDE!!

This is by far the best wooden roller coaster I've been on. What a wild ride. It had airtime in places that look like they shouldn't have airtime. Both front and back are amazing...but different experiences. Try both.

My biased opinon is that this is the best twister woodie in the world. The Voyage is great but steel supported wooden track coasters are not wooden coasters they are hybrids. You get much more play and more of a living feel ferom an actual woodie like Thunderhead.

Boodley is a genius and so is Clare and his crew.

Your right Dollywood Pete the Voyage is not a true wooden coaster it is just a hybird. And my opinion of Thunderhead is that it rocked! I defiently see why it was given the 2005 Golden Ticket Award for being the best wooden coaster in the World.

Simply the best wooden coaster I've ridden to date. It is amazingly smooth, smoother than some steel coasters (which was very unexpected). The trains are comfortable (unlike most other wooden coaster trains), and the design is flawless filled with great airtime. This is the only wooden coaster I love... and the only one that makes my Top 20 list. Best coaster at Dollywood by far.
