My favorite wooden coaster. It shook me around so much my batteries fell out of my camera (it was in my backpack!) (:

The fastest wooden coaster I've been on and so far the best too.

I was quite dissapointed with this coaster. It was very bumpy, had zero air time, no thrill, and it was pretty slow.

With a little fixing up this coaster could be great.

I was at coastercon 27 and they added trim brakes at the top of the first drop. Now it's more like an old scenic railway than a speedy good rollercoaster.

I think it's too bumpy and it has no airtime.

Long, boring, and rough. Don't bother riding it, unless you only care about adding it to your track record.

This is one of my favorite wooden coasters...but the trims on the first drop totally kill it. Everyone on the ride was..AHHHHHHH------HHH--hh-h-hh. The trims totally killed the ride but it is one of the funnest times I had on a woodie.

Just wanted to add, this coaster is beautiful at night. It looks its best and rides its best at night.

Mean Streak is such a big coaster, yet it seems like it doesn't really do anything... and it feels like it goes on forever...

It looks nice at night with the 3 different colored lights projected on it.

This coaster sucks!!!!! It was soooo painful throughout the entire ride, and the ride attendants make you take your backpack with you on the ride. I was looking forward to this ride all summer. Ride it only if you want your ribs broken.

I love this coaster. I am a big fan of massive wood coasters like this. I don't know why people are always hating on this or other massive wood coasters. It is an acquired taste. This coaster is so long, and so intense. I love it!

Unfortunately, like other Summers/Dinn coasters, Mean Streak has aged horribly. I'm glad I got to ride it when it was 3 months old. As CP only has two woodies, they should make a substantial capital investment to retrack and overhaul this painful atrocity. Expensive, I know, but it's worth saving, if it can be restored to close its original SMOOTH and speedy ride.

Mean Streak is one big mass of twisted wood. It looks nice, but the ride isn't. The airtime is virtually non-existant, the ride is rough as can be (it rivals Predator and Psyclone, the two worst woodies in the nation). You are better off just looking in awe at the structure than riding it. The beauty is why it gets a 2 as opposed to a 1.

This is one awesome coaster! It may not have airtime, but the sheer size and layout makes up for that. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that you should not hold your hands up during this ride. Jeez, that thing gave me a headache for a very long time! It's tied with Lightning Racer and Hercules as my #1 woodie. I have a feeling Son Of Beast will join them if i go to Paramount's Kings Island.

Mean Streak is definitely a top contendor as one of the most beautiful wooden coaster structures in the world! However, like stated above me, it's a shame that the ride experience is nothing close to what its size and magnitude potray. There is ZERO airtime, the laterals are very weak, and there is too much shuffling going on between the train and the trackwork. So simply put, it's just NOT thrilling or fun in any way. No re-rideablity factor either...

I've probably ridden this ride about 10-15 times, and half of those time I absolutely hated it, and the other times I actually liked it. I sat in the front row last summer and the drop stunk, but the rest of the ride was sort of fun. It was pretty smooth too.

I am in love with the magnitude of the ride, and it is absolutely beautiful to look at, but the ride itself is quite disapointing. I have ridden the ride about 70 times, but I spend more time riding around looking at it than I do enjoying the actual experience. I don't find it to be too rough at all, but there is no action, and the trims have completely murdered the first drop, and first turn in the butterfly (that's what CP calls the two big turns after the drop). I wish I could have ridden this ride in its original form. *sigh*

I love this ride. It's huge and it's beautiful when lit up at night. People complain about it being too rough, well I suggest those people go ride The Villain at Geauga Lake, it's way worse. Plus, Mean Streak's location by the lake is just perfect. Oh and if you still want to complain about the roughness, I got three words for you: Son of Beast.
