or has it that Nagashima might build a giga coaster around 370 and have some inversions,
 the track will flatten out at the bottom of the 1st hill.

First of all, this belongs in the World Coasters forum, not the American Coasters forum.
 
 Second, I bet that Japan will be getting some new gigas over the next decade, but don't expect another one at Nagashima for quite a while. Steel Dragon was nearly $50 million, and I don't think that they can afford an even bigger coaster anytime soon. Besides, there's no reason to break the record for the tallest complete circuit coaster on earth when they own the current record.

 Intamin have recently signed a Contract for a new Giga coaster.
 Im pretty sure i know where to but im not saying anything incase im wrong.
 But its NOT in the USA.

Blackpool could do with an intamin giga but i doubt it.
 
 Also remeber who got the first B&M dive machine, first real flying coaster (Skytrack at Granda studios 1997), The first B&M flying coaster, The first hyper inverted, the first barol roll on a stand u, teh first full dark backwards coaster and the list goes on and on and on.

Fujikyu Highlands wants the title of the world's tallest rollercoaster back. Fujiyama is their previous record holder at 259ft.
 
 Rumour is they will get a 322ft 107mph S&S TA2K called...(Drum roll)...Fujiyama II!

 Remember what I wrote in another posting.
 
 The management of Heide-Park (Germany) told us that they are concentrating on installing rollercoasters in order to become coaster capitol of Germany/Europe. Guess what I
 think?
 
 Heide-Park will build a record-breaking giga-coaster - possibly made by Intamin. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I think time will tell if I'm right or not.
 
 One hint is that they announced to build something very big...

 It prooves Heide park are up to something big.
 and if the rumours are true that park officals said they will build the worlds tallest coaster then maybe thats what it will be.

 Yep! Seems to be like a puzzle that is getting finished faster than wanted...
 
 But stay calm. I think we won't see this coaster next year. Such a high ride has to be allowed by the local institutions. And that will take time. Besides it makes no sense to present 'record-breakers' two years in a row. But what about 2003...?!

 Is it a coaster, or isn't it a coaster?
 
 i personnally think it ISN'T a coaster, because it doesn't do what a coaster does!
 pull you up and let you go...so in fact the tallest ROLLERCOASTER on the planet is Steel Dragon 2000, and NOT MILLENNIUM FORCE
 
 yeah, S:E is technically the tallest coaster on the planet, but i don't think so...but TA2K, now, tjhat is a coaster, continious looped circuit...aha, what debates we have here!

 What about the shuttle loops and boomerangs?
 
 They also don't offer a continious looped circuit but they are - without doubt - rollercoasters. Aren't they?

Regardless of whether or not S:TE is a coaster, it is not a full circuit, does not have a lift hill, and can't really qualify for a "first drop" record.
 
 Oh, additionally, while the tower is 415 feet high, Superman itself only travels a bit over 300 feet of that tower. (maybe 360 I think) So a coaster with a 400 foot drop would still beat it.

 okay, i see your point.but are the coasters...i think....maybe...but i am sure that sir willow has come up with the answer...yes!
 they DON'T have a large first drop because they don't have a hill lift! so, the don't count as rollercoasters...the count as thrill rides!
 is a space shot a rollercoaster?, no it isn't, but they follow the same principle...but...in refference to the topic...i say that two gigas after each other is impossible...no way would they do that...or is it?

 Sorry that I mention the same example, but shuttle loops don't have a lift hill or a first drop cause they're launched. I agree that a space shot isn't a coaster. But let me tell you my opinion what makes a real coaster:
 
 #1) steel or wood made track
 
 #2) wheel based trains - no matter how many cars are included. For example: single car trains as they are seen on Superman - The Escape or clunched cars in 'normal' coaster trains
 
 #3) lift hill and/or launch
 
 Back to the last point:
 
 For Heide-Park it would make sense adding a giga-coaster for 2003. What about Cedar Point? Take a look at their coaster line-up. You have a hypercoaster (Magnum XL-200) next to a gigacoaster (Millennium Force). Not that I want to compare Heide-Park with Cedar Point. But perhaps it shows the intention of Heide-Park's management. Namely to put a German park on the map of all us coaster enthusiastics.
