Didn't there exist tons of Kingda Ka threads?

I wouldn't be too hard on him, he only has two posts, but I just mention it here.
They both got taken care of, thanks.

I decided to let it go mostly because downtime is such a big issue with Kingda Ka and that it's not really construction related.
It really is a boarderline topic though.
Just to let you know, their needs to be a link to the thread that is similar.
I looked for a similar thread, but I couldn't find anything.
Edit: I found it. http://www.thrillnetwork.com/boards/...8&page=3&pp=15
^Its from a few months back.

He created a thread on something that was in the news section on the front page and put a link that was on the news page. Just thought it was useful since it's already being talked about on there.
Closed. Thanks.

Actually, the thread was there before the news. I think they got the news from that thread.

Doubt that very much. As a former editor I can tell you that finding articals about big ticket stuff like that isn't very hard. To say that they read the forum topic to get news is a bit silly. Half the stuff posted as "news" on here is blatent unsubstantiated rumors.
Regardless, the mandate is not to have duplicate discussions and as stated by Steven in the thread about news topics, they violate the TOS and should therefore be closed.

What happens if someone posts news in a new thread that was posted before here on TN? Then would the thread still be closed since it was there first?

Close, slnewbus, close...but there needs to be a specific thread that it is a repeat of...
bk...not sure...
^^ Yes the thread will be closed. It's not who started it first, but where we want that discussion to take place. If it's news, then it goes in news regardless of where it was started. At least that's how I understand it.
