Rick James dies at 56

Rick James, the popular 80's pop star, died at his home yesterday (August 5th). He died in his sleep where he lived alone, and was found dead by his personal assistant. The cause of his death is still unknown.

Rick James did many popular hits like "Superfreak" and also appeared on the Dave Chappele show. (Inside joke)

Please keep the Chappelle jokes to a minimum, because this is about Rick James not Chappelle playing James. It seems like most people didn't even know about Rick James outside of that show.

That, and my note that Dave Chappelle has been tapped to replace Rick James to be Rick James.

Seriously, it really is sad though, cuz Super Freak is better than MC Hammer's rip of Super Freak (U Can't Touch This). As far as his death, they're speculating he had a heart attack or he died of natural causes.

As far as Chappelle, I think he really does mourn his loss, so I wouldn't want to go out of hand with the jokes. In reality, Chappelle did like his music, especially since it matched the whole pot-smoking theme to his standup and even his "Half Baked" movie, where one of James' songs, "Mary Jane" was featured.

This should go in media. Yea, well, It said that he didnt OD, because none of the drugs were at that level, which is hard to believe.

Well maybe the nine drugs he had in his body, individually wouldn't cause any harm. But all nine together at the same time could have. It really doesn't matter, with celebrities, some people are going to try to make sure that the person didn't die because of drugs.

Hey, we've lost so many talented people becuase of drugs, from the music world to the acting world, and it's not going to stop. We'll lose more. Count on it!
