Those neat park reviews from rollercoaster.com!
What do you think Thrillride should have on their new site that they're lacking now?
Those neat park reviews from rollercoaster.com!
I think that becuase you purchased world of coasters that you should take over their database, you had a kick*** database there. So can u add it here.
I don't feel like manually adding my Track Record, so I'm just going to tell you it's 228.Favorites: Amusement Park: Cedar Point | Wooden Roller Coaster: El Toro | Steel Roller Coaster: SROS@SFNE
i think thrillride should have there own reporters that arent paid...u know ...like for me u send me to alton towers and i bring u back loads of photos and a full review like that.....and u cud send loads of ppl to loads of places...and all of us here form one place cud meet up and go round the park together for a better report.....what u think ?
Dont Look Down.....WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK?
I love the idea posted by revolt. Any way to get to ride more coasters is awesome. Another good thing for the site would be videos of each ride in action from the view of a rider. CP does this at their website and although it does no justice to the rides, it is still cool. I get excited just watching the Magnum climb the lift hill and watching MF drop.

I think thrillride needs to be more photo friendly. Oh sure we get to see some great photos but I would like to see them a little larger. A gallery is what I want. A place were people can post there photos. Maybe a photo contest?

Thrillride needs columnists, like MousePlanet.
Well, I love the rumors section, and now with the forums I think the site is complete. Add some RCT downloads, give it about a year, and Danimation should have a strong competitor
can a admin go over my idea because i think it would be great and it would be a laff going round parks with fellow thrill ride mates thank you..

If you want photos, you could always head over to Joyrides or a few other great coaster sites that are dedicated to showing just pictures.

Personally, I think that this board was a great addition. A chatroom would be nice...

VIDEOS And I mean lots of them!
I know almost about everybody said this but I'll just add on to it.
I think that you should have videos(POV)of every ride you have reviewed on ThrillRide!
yeh videos that work on real player would be nice...
Dont Look Down.....WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO LOOK?
I think they need to expand their designer profiles.

Intamin, B&M, and Giovanola exist, you know.
Definately would like to see the WoC database up, with the listings of coasters at each park, pictures and stats for each coaster, and the rankings based on site member's voting for them.

Also the trip reports being linked in each park's profile was nice. I'd like to see all of that back.

POV videos are ok, but there are lots of places to get those. Maybe links to them would be good.

True, and there arne't that many good databases out there, there are a few but they weren't as good as WoC's database, and they have been needing to update it.
I don't feel like manually adding my Track Record, so I'm just going to tell you it's 228.Favorites: Amusement Park: Cedar Point | Wooden Roller Coaster: El Toro | Steel Roller Coaster: SROS@SFNE
These are all great suggestions. As you can see, the admins have been adding to and updating CoasterTalk (and the whole website for that matter). As they advance, your ideas may get included.
So are you going to get your database up or what?

Yes we are working on that right now. As you know their database was a little out dated and we are updated the total data base. All I can say is hang on and bare with us.
Much more pictures of all rides and parks
How bout making a Thrillride! Magazine? That would be soooo sweet! I would subscribe for sure!

That would be just another thing to worry about... anyways there is already a roller coaster magazine called; you guessed it, Roller Coaster!. Just contact ACE for more info on a subscription.

Thrill Ride should have next is:

Nothing it should close down!!

If you guys think that I'm mean, then fine I'm mean...but Thrill Ride needs somebody to complain about all the negative stuff! So that they can fix the problems(which is alot!!)
Check out Alien! @ Badnitrus.Danimation.com
So then, since you have so many complaints about this awesome site, why don't you list your probelems so they can fix them! Duh!

Oh and PS. If you hate this site so much why do you keep posting to it?

You have 27 posts so far.

[ This Message was edited by: Des West on 2001-05-13 13:40 ]
i Think thrillride should have a special section where u can see old photos of older defuct rides that arent around for the new comers to the coaster enthusit life styel.
So X-Flight, what problems are you talking about? How about some specifics? Things can't be fixed if people don't know what needs it.

And if you want to see it shut down, they why are you here? And why are you posting? No one has made you come here and post. If you feel it is a waste of time, then why are you wasting your time?

That's not meant as a slam, just trying to point out that obviously you've found something you like here since you keep coming back. So what is it, and how can it be improved?
Rollercoaster.com had a sweet database of trip reports. I wish Thrillride took over those reports. They could make a good trip report from scratch too.
You can tell your dog any idea, whether it be the most intelligent or the most idiotic idea, and he'll give you a look that says " Oh My God!!! I would have never thought of that!!! Your brilliant!!!"
