you forgot the best of them all, talon, that opened today. but of your list i'ld have to say dueling dragons because of the air time hill on fire and the dueling affect. the Q line adds alot too
There are many great inverts out there. But out of what I call the "Big 4" what is everybodies favorite?

Montu
Raptor
Alpengeist

DD. I apreciate new ideas. Having an awsome layout and theming also helps.
I have only ridden Raptor and Dueling Dragons and in my opinion, I'd have to say Raptor wins!
Alpengeist is my favorite inverted.
It has a good line of inversions,
good themeing,
and a good layout that uses the parks natural landscaping.

none of the above.
Top Gun at PGA. That 4.8 g Loop and helix are sooo awsome
My Top 5 Thrillers
5. Goliath(SFMM)
4. V2-Vertical Velocity(SFMW)
3. The Mailiboomer(DCA)
2. Indiana Jones Adventure(DL)
1. California Screamin'
Alpengeist, although since Im going to Dorney on June 1st that may change to Talon.
That's tough. I'd say that Raptor has the best single design, and Dueling Dragons has the cool double design...It's hard to compare them. Though I might like Talon better when I go there in August.
Mine right now is montu but it will soon change to Talon
What we do in life, echos in enternity

You have no idea how cool ohio is unless you actually live here
Alpengeist at night or day: great view.

Dueling Dragons for the station.

And Mind Eraser at SFA the first year it opened. I got to ride it 10 times, front seat, and without those NEW extra large (extra UNCOMFORTABLE) OTS restraints. What happened to all the Vekoma inverteds? They USED to be great!

Oh, please! You all forgot about the first and best inverted: Batman: The Ride at SFGAM. All others come in a distant second.
raptor is cool, but dueling dragons is better because its TWO coasters. nothing compares to those near-misses...
i came all the way to CP and rode THAT MFer.

everyone IM me on AOL i need to talk to someone about coasters. All of my friends hate 'em.
well, i haven't been on any other inverted coasters outside the UK so my top 2 is TraumaTIZER and Nemesis ... or is only for USA Coasters?
*If anyone is offended by this post, then it your fault for not agreeing with me*Favorites: Amusement Park: Parc Asterix | Wooden Roller Coaster: Tonnerre de Zeus | Steel Roller Coaster: Nemesis
Montu!
ALPENGEIST BY A LONGSHOT!!!! Raptor is OK, it's just too overrated. Dueling dragons is AWESOME, but it just lacks that, how can I put that, UMPH that Alpengeist has. Montu ALMOST makes it there, but not quite, although it's my second favorite. I just got back from my trip.... TALON looks great, but I don't think it matches up to Alpengeist... then again, who am I to judge a book by its cover.
I haven't ridden Montu or DD yet, but between Raptor and Alpengeist, I'll take Raptor. Talon looks like it may just beat both of these, but I have yet to ride it.

BEST INVERTED KOASTER GOES TO:

DUELING DRAGONS!
Have ridden 3 Inverted coasters (4 if you count each side of Dueling Dragons)...

Of those 4, my favorite is Montu. Great pacing, fun ride.

Next in line is Great Bear. Would be a truely great coaster if it would be a little longer.

Way down on my coaster list is Dueling Dragons. Bad pacing and dueling effects that are lost on all but the front seat, I found this one to be mediocre at best and highly overrated.
"I wasn't always this cynical, but then I started kindergarden..."Favorites: Amusement Park: Busch Gardens Williamsburg | Wooden Roller Coaster: Phoenix | Steel Roller Coaster: Apollo's Chariot
You all suck. Top Gun at Carowinds is the best.
They are all pretty much equal in my book. I've only ridden Alpie, Raptor, Great Bear, and Dueling Dragons, and of those only the Ice Dragon stands out as a lesser ride.

Oh, alright. Maybe I'll give a little edge to Great Bear. Here's why:

1) cool and unusual helix before the first drop
2) no brake run = no dull parts
3) it's spread over a pretty big area and has a low inversion count, so you have a lot of chances to feel how fast and smooth these rides really are without being flipped around every few seconds
Definitely Batman: The Ride! What a sweet ride! Super-intense!

I've never ridden any of the others but they all look sweet.
You may know me as GoliathRocks, but that name is taken. Oh well, like I always say: Crap happens. Live with it.
Alpengeist, hands down. It has everything: size, speed, a nice sequence of inversions, and the landscaping. What a beautiful color scheme.

Now, I do hold a special place in my heart for Batman at SFGAM. It was my first (you never forget your first) inverted, and is still the only one that - here comes the corny part - make my feet tingle when it whips back into the station. Just a perfect, compact ride layout. I have a pretty sweet RCT version, too!
God does great work at amusement parks - there's a lot of praying on the top of Millennium Force!

JLY
Without a doubt in my mind, Volcano: The Blast Coaster! It is by far the most overlooked roller coaster in the world. Hopefully people will now learn what a masterpiece intamin has created now that everybody wants to go to PKD to ride Hypersonic XLC and the new Flight Of Fear. Make sure to ride the Volcano, because the launch is just as amazing as Millennium Force's first drop! Intamin really knows how to get rides pumping, not arrow or premier or B&M. The blast with your feet dangling is an amazing thrill, blasted straight up seeing nothing but smoke, and then all of a sudden all you see is the sun directly in front of you. Millennium Force is 80 degrees down, but this is 90 degrees. Straight up. And so people know, Alpengeist is next followed by Top Gun at Carowinds and Raptor.
I must say my fav is Alpengeist. Sweet, fast and full of ummph. I would say Volcano but the dratted ride is too short and the queue lines too long. By the time you get on and back off again, you wonder what you waited in line for. Even the fast pass system is a joke on Volcano, waiting over an hour for a time slot that was supposed to be immediate. I dunno, between the Volcano and Hypersonic malfunctions, I find myself retreating to the not-so crowded woodies.

Dueling Dragon Fire gets my vote. I love the near misses and the great inversions of Fire. And it's the only invert I've been on that had some good airtime.
