I think they just need to remove the OTSRs and it would probably be fine. I can't see a Swarzkopf being rough.

Even though SFMM is basically my home park, I haven't been on Revolution for over a year. But I remember the OTSR's being a huge factor with a headache and shoulder pain. The ride was also a leg killer. Lap bars would also make the ride more intense, if you get what I'm saying

As I sat in the car? train? with the top open I looked the attendant in the eye and said "Can this ride be described as spine-shattering?" He laughed and said "watch out for the drop at the end". To be honest it wasn't brutally rough, but it was an unsettling experience to be sitting directly on the floor on such tight turns and drops. This ride also definetely wins the "scariest lift ever" award, which I had previously awarded to the Cyclone at Williams Grove. For those of you who have not had a chance to ride one of these rare treasures, it's a vertical lift in an enclosed tube. It is extremely loud. There is a ladder welded into the side of the tube next to the track. I was really curious as to how I would actually get out of the ride if it were to break down, as you're staring straight up toward the sky. I am guessing it would take a much more limber and lithe individual to safely get out of the car and onto that ladder.
Those rides are absolutely horrible. My first ride on one I had no idea how painful the end was and didn't brace or prepare myself at all. I literally had the wind knocked out of me. A couple years later I got on the one at Lakemont Park and at least knew what I was getting into so it was a bit less painful.

Winding down the tower is fine. It's the car going on the one bunny hill at the bottom that's wretching. That will tear you up. You're a rag doll on the toboggan. I got at least three of those and three Jack Rabbit wooden coasters.

well i honestly find it interesting that there is no rollercoaster from my hometown and where i live on this list so yeah i have only been on 7 rollercoasters so far sadly because thats all i have thats near me and i am not in a postion where i can just go to places far away from me just like that so i am kind of stuck with what i have near me for now.

Robin Hood at Walibi Holland nearly unseated Cheetah as my worst wooden coaster ever! It will just have to 'settle' for second worst though. This is a back breaker and the ONLY saving grace to keep it from being the worst is the second half after the turnatound wasn't as back breaking. More like a back spasm!

Yeah, I know. It is a terrible Vekoma too. This park has to set the record for the most Vekoma coasters in one park with 4. Ironically, two of them are fairly decent though. Speed of Sound has the new Vekoma train and restraints. It is pretty tolerable too. Not the smoothest boomerang I have been on before, but top 5 easily. Xpress isn't too bad either. It kind of lags at the end of the ride, but I didn't suffer any head banging on it. El Condor on the other hand needs to be torn down. I don't know what is about the European SLCs but they seem to be even rougher (if that's possible) than their American counterparts.

    Double post!
Right now I would like to take the time out and congratulate Goudurix at Parc Asterix on a job 'well' done and becoming my worst steel roller coaster ever! You easily upstaged Colossus, a feat that I did not think was possible. This ride is so rough that even Vekoma SLC's are saying, "Holy crap Goudurix, you are rough!". If you are in good physical condition, it is still not enough to sustain the pain you will endure on this ride. I thought I was literally going to break my neck on this thing. To put it into perspective: If you had to choose between open heart surgery without anesthesia or riding Goudurix, you will be on the operating table right now! I recommend this ride for absolutely no one. It isn't worth the credit at all and I have NEVER said that about a roller coaster before either.

Goudurix vs. Ninja at SFOG (the former NJ Kamikaze) Both Vekomas. Makes me wonder. That Goudurix is not a cloned Chinese ride either.

Son of Beast of all the coasters on that list. Glad it's closed and wish that they would take it down and use the space for something...anything...would be better.

I was honestly shocked about how rough it was. I mean with all Vekomas you expect a certain amount of roughness, but this was just unbearable. Although Ninja is rough too, I can ride it 2 or 3 times in one visit. There was no way in the world I was getting on Goudurix a second time! It really is perfect timing that they added OzIris (which is a great ride BTW), because with the exception of their wooden coaster, which is pretty good, there is really nothing much at this park to brag about.

    1) Mean Streak (gave me a migraine that lasted for a week)
    2) Blazing Fury (seat backs have made my back go out 3 times and I no longer ride it)
    3) Son of Beast (see Mean Streak minus a few days)

With the exception of Mantis and Mean Streak, the rest of them need to go too! Mantis isn't a bad ride. It is like all stand-ups where you have to ummm adjust yourself correctly prior to riding. Mean Streak comes with an asterik. If they will unleash the trims on this ride, it would be good again. If not, tear it down.

Mantis is okay, as long as the wheels aren't worn. When the wheels are worn, it's terrible. It seems like it was the rough draft for Chang.

    Worst Roller Coaster: SOB
I rode SOB with the loop still in the layout. I can personally attest that it could be compared to running through a gauntlet of D1 football lineman swinging wooden baseball bats at you. It beat me up pretty bad from the very start out of the station, and it didn't help that I'm 6 feet tall. The original trains were just too cramped to be comfortable for someone of my size, and the restraints were absolutely terrible and would tighten down so hard on the top of your legs. The first drop was OK, but once you hit that first helix....game over, and time to take an icebath. ROUGH was an understatement.

Worst non-roller coaster: Tomb Raider/The Crypt @ KI
I've never been a fan of many flat rides, but I think Huss Giant Top-Spins take the cake. We were let into the ride, and sat there claustrophobically restrained for 10-15 minutes while they got the ride to work. On top of having to take a pee, the claustrophobia was terrible. I rarely ride Top Spins, but there is just something very uncomfortable about being held upside-down, having all the blood rush to your head. Not enjoyable at all.

Son of Beast was pronounced dead on November 20th, 2012, by Kings Island PR Staff. http://twitpic.com/bewqrh

Son of Beast remains one of my least favorite coasters ever, but it was beautiful. Some great pictures here: http://queencitydiscovery.blogspot.c...kers.html#more

    R.I.P., Son of Beast.
My hardest earned credit is The Legend at Holiday World, first ridden 5.19.2012, exactly 1399 days after my first visit to Holiday World.

Son of Beast was a reflection of the last decade. It was oversized for comfort. Coming out of the station and dropping down before the lift i thought the ride was too big. The Rose Bowl was brutal. The rest of the ride was alright. It looked diminutive next to the lift hill. I thought after the Rose Bowl MCBR you wanted more from the ride going back to the brakes.

They put SOB on its first diet: cutting the loop. It failed. They had to bring the heifer down.

Of those choices I voted for Hercules but it's not the worst coaster I have ridden. For steel coasters it is Python at Playland's Castaway Cove. It is a Pinfari ZL42 and a horrible ride that is very rough and a very bad train design and uncomfortable OTSR's. For wooden coasters it is Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa. I thought the ride would be decent especially with the new trains but the only part of the ride I found tolerable was the lift hill since even the pre-lift section of the ride was way too rough. It was so bad I couldn't even focus on the ride and just wanted to get to the final brake run. I had a headache for 20 minutes after riding Gwazi.
