I agree with Mean Streak and I would like to add Georgia Cyclone and Ninja @ SFoG

Runaway Mine Train at GAdv was a pathetic waste of time. We had q-bot gold, so we walked onto all other coasters. RMT however, I waited 45 minutes for and it was horrible. Worse than BBLTT. The only part I like was the little airtime hill at the end.

The Runaway Mine Train @ SFGADV is not that bad of a ride. It just needs to be understood that it is the family coaster @ SFGADV. It has the new trains but the waiting seems to be as long as for a Wild Mouse sometimes. Be patient, skip it if you must but it's a decent ride with two helixes, two airtime pop hills, a sweeping over the creek turn that makes it much better than Hersheypark's Trailblazer and other Arrow mine trains out there.

Hersheypark has a waste of space. They should replace it.
I guess that's not bad news for me. This is one credit I easily skipped because I did not want to get drenched but if it's like this I may actually get the credit in the future.

I didn't think RWB was rough at all since they retracked it recently. I think it was done last year. I rode it a couple weeks ago. The ending was somewhat boring but it was far from rough.

SOB again, because it hurt so much.
I have only been on 2 SLC's--Thunderhawk (Serial Thriller) and T2. Hated both of them. My ears were beet red and the horsecollar restraints always stink because of all the sweat they soak up...ugh.

I haven't ridden many coasters yet, I'd say Mind Eraser (/number/banger/smasher/destroyer) at SFNE or cobra at SFLR when I didn't know how to ride without getting my pelvic region organs crushed.

Oh yeah, I forgot Runaway Reptar at Carowinds (we rode to see if it would be ok for th 7 year old neice, cause she's scared of coasters), it's very very rough, especially for a "kiddie / family" coaster.

And that Vekoma SLC hiding at one end of Six Flags America ....... I think it's also Mind Eraser. Jeeze, can't these people be original with names?? LOL. Of course, on this particular coaster, it's very true. I rode it in the front row, and looking at the course I was thinking it was gonna be cool. This was the first Vekoma SLC I'd ever been on, and had no idea what I was in for. Although looking back, and knowing that Reptar is also a suspended Vekoma, I should have known better.

I avoid Mantis at CP like the plaque. Probably my most "hated" coaster. Its just too rough and head banging, just not fun.

Add most Vekoma SLCs to that list.

Love the Chiller with the lap bars and still love GASM at SFGADV no matter what anyone says.

I'm with all of you guys on Mind Eraser (I rode the one at SFA). It did something to my neck that was nagging all day. I can usually handle head-banging (though it was a bit extreme on Drachen Fire--rode DF in '93) but injuries to my neck are unforgivable, especially since ME was my first ride of the day.

Is SOB really that bad? When that ride first came out I thought it looked amazing. I've never been to PKI and that was one of the main reasons I wanted to visit.

The only coaster I have ridden that could be in this list was La Via Volta @ Walibi World, a Vekoma boomerang. Although advertised as a ride for any one up to 2.00 meters, I wasn't able to ride comfortably in those OTSR's while I'm 14 centimeters below that limit... Too bad, because riding backwards is kinda fun but oh well, I can do without

The only thing wrong with it are the trains, as for the rest it is a decent ride (for Dutch standards )

Even though Mind Eraser is an overused and now uncreative name, I think it is the perfect name for such a painful coaster.

But to make it even more perfect, they should re-name all the really painful ones into "Mind Basher" or "The large metal machine that will bang your head lots of times".

I rode Wolf Bobs back in 2001. HORRID Piece of crap! I went back in 2002, same difference. I had not gone back to the park until last year under Cedar Fair ownership.

The front half and back half were done and as smooth as it could be. The middle however wasn't done and washboarded like crazy. I was supposed to go back to GL this year, I think I will wait for awhile. I am not too crazy about GL anymore.

Well, I can't believe how many people have said Raging Wolf Bobs, because that happens to be tied for my favourite wooden coaster ever. I think it's a blast.

Anyways, my least favourite coaster is probably Cedar Creek Mine Ride just because it really has no good elements (besides the final helix) and it's actually quite boring. I understand it's a family coaster but still, some family coasters can be fun, and this one was not.

As for larger coasters, I have to say Villain is probably my least favourite. The first drop was alright (well, I didn't get to pay attention to airtime since i was a coaster n00b back then) but then it started to get a little bit rough and annoying.

Thunderhawk isn't the best either, but now with its new snazzy colour scheme it stands out for me amongst other SLC's that are pretty much all the standard colours of red and teal.

Worst ones I have ever rode....
#1 Ninja at SFOG..needed migraine medicine afterward
#2 Cheetah at Wild Adventures in Valdosta..da*n near shattered my knee on those lap bar braces...and I rode it less than a year after it opened
#3 Mean Streak...yeah it Bit** slapped me all over the place, and my head was a ringing
#4 I know no one is gonna like this, but Nessie at BGE wasn't to pleasant last time I rode it. Maybe it was the train or just me, but I didn't enjoy it like I had before
    * #5 Hurricane: Catagory 5..not rode it yet, but I am going to before MBP closes so it could be added
Life is a journey....enjoy the ride....

^Well LNM looks good, but with Alpie, AC, and BBW, LNM looks like crap compared to those three. It has nice terrain, and the interlocking loops are just beautiful to look at. But the tunnel enclosed helix seems lame.

(I'm judging this all by a POV I've seen, I haven't actually rode it yet.) I guess I could be underestimating.

^ I liked LNM. I liked all the coasters I've ridden, but my least favorite out of them would be trailblazer at hp. Coasters are not supposed to put you to sleep. Did anyone notice how at least 90% of the coasters on this list are either from a SF or CF park?

LNM is a really good ride. Probably the best Arrow looper I've ever been on (including Viper,GASM,+Vortex --three of the better ones--) It's so smooth compared to the other arrow loopers out there, and BGW's terrain adds a lot to the ride.

    as for bad coasters.

    Viper SFGADV......... worst steel
    SOB .................... worst wood

The worst coaster is the cool looking one that isn't open!

Sooo many nasty ones. But I'd much rather ride a rough woodie than a rough horsecollar looper. Some of the worst: Ninja at SFOG, Steel Phantom, any Togo. I'm not a fan of SLCs, but the worst invert I've ever been on was Batman:TR at SFMM. Absolutely brutal.

Either Disaster Transport (God-Awful waste of an hour for the wait) or Cheetah. The Ride-Op on Cheetah made me take off my glasses, so I couldn't see, so I was thrown around. And I was stapled.

Top of my list would definitely be Mean Streak. Its terribly boring, yet still manages to rough you up. I don't know how they did, but I gave it two chances and won't ever be riding it again.

Second would be T2 at SFKK. The harness just pounded on my balls due to the shuffling of the train. Probably the most painful ride I've ever been on.

Third would be Son of Beast. It had a few cool parts, namely just the first drop and loop, which kept it from being number one. The train is very uncomfortable and the ride is rough. The giant helixes are very exciting either.

Another thing, I loved RWB when I rode it in 2002. I thought it offered some nice air and was a good ride. I was impressed with all the wood at SFWOA. Villian was my favorite wood coaster for a while, even with the horrible G-trains, and Big Dipper was fun as well.

Looping star at Beech Bend! VERY uncomfortable and jerky too!

    I love ninja at SFOG.
I love LNM too but not as much as tennessee tornado!

For woodies I would say the painful ones would be all the woodies at SFOG and all the woodies at carowinds, though sofgs are the worst, I dont see what people see in those!

Hmm i love rough roller coasters so I am going to have to go on bad experience instead of roughness. When I was probablly about 8 my faimly went to Kings Dominion and I was the only one in my family (includng my sbling who are both older) who wanted to ride coasters. So i rode Rebel Yell and Anaconda and then when I got on Grizzly. It was the worst time I have ever had on a roller coaster. I don't know what it was about that ride but I thought that I was going to fly out of it and it was rough and I didnt enjoy it at all. I was young then though and if I rode it now I know I would like it...UMM whoever said Georgia Cyclone are you crazy? Thats exactly what a wooden coaster is supposed to be like...lol

So all woodies should cause lower lumbar strains and other medical conditions in relation to the lower back?

The Worst Steel coaster i have even Ridden was Orient Express a Wisdom Dragon coaster at Palace play land Old Orchard Beach Maine. The rides Bumped and Jumped the hole ride. An coaster that small shouldn't be that hard to keep running right.

as for wood coaster Rolling thunder at SFGADV. Boring layout, no air time, and a Rough ride. i really don't know why they kept this and decided to Shoe horm El toro into the park next to it.

Sigh, I don't know why all these people are so horribly against Hercules... it was a great ride, rest its soul, and yes, the first times I rode it were in June 2003.

Worst wooden coaster- Cyclone @ Astroland (All the wooden coasters I rode are fun, I'm just basing this on pain, Mean Streak comes in a close second, although it is my number 2 wooden coaster)

Worst steel coaster - Iron Dragon- Slow, boring and rough. That's all I have to say.

Are we thinking of the Astroland Cyclone in Coney island or the Very low rated Clone that was torn down after AstroWorld a Six flags park was closed.

if it is indeed the Astroland Cyclone i am in shock there are a number of wood coasters that are far worse then it like Rolling thunder at SFGADV, the Current cyclone at SFNE, etc.
