I hate to be a downer but this is completely lame. At first, the thought of it was great and I instantly went to the link to vote. Then...I saw the options...or lack of options. Many of the few options come from the same few parks. How about a little variety? How can you have Wild Eagle in a category but then not have X-Flight? That's my personal bias talking but not even including that, there are so many great top ranked coasters left off the poll at numerous parks and chains across the country.

Yeah, I agree it's kind of lame but I'm excited that they are doing a new series of documentaries on roller coasters. Us coaster enthusiasts could have given them better guidance on building a well-rounded set of coasters but it is what it is.

Agree too. I went under G-Force and looked for I-305.... not there. So I didn't vote.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy there is another show featuring coasters going to be on TV soon. I'll definitely watch but was just disappointed to see so few coasters nominated.

I think the producers picked them out ahead of time, and filmed them all and now just let us pick them. They filmed at Carowinds already and I was in the b-roll. I guess it will be determined if I'll show up in the footage or hit the cutting room floor.

One other thing that I thought was funny, they nominated Aftershock (formerly Deja Vu from SFGAM) from such a small out of the way park which is fine but it struck me as strange since so often these shows feature the same parks over and over. Guess it's nice they're showing a little variety.

Although I'm almost positive it's the way you guys describe, I wonder if they plan on making this mini-series each summer. If they were to continue to produce the show summer after summer, they could include the many many worthy coasters left out of the voting this summer.

But, like I said, I'm almost positive this is a one-time show, and therefor the selection is sad. Still, can't pass up a coaster show!
