    HP Coaster Removal

According to Screamscape a behind the scenes tour learned the coaster count at Hersheypark may change: a coaster may be removed. The candidate is likely Roller Soaker. I'm glad I only got on it once. The capacity is horrendous.

I wish Sidewinder would go even if it got the new train. Fahrenheit, even if it's not that great, should be its successor. If Hershey grew up Sidewinder should go. If they want to expand the waterpark, which I never liked, they could move the Wild Mouse and put it on Sidewinder's spot. A new slide could go on the current Wild Mouse plot in Midway America.

A sale listing went up for Rollersoaker. I believe the asking price is $799,000.

I saw headlines from the Central PA papers. The park says a coaster will not be leaving the park.

The supposed target: Rollersoaker would probably be out of season anyway if you are coming to the park in October.

Hard hat warning signs are around Rollersoaker. Warning tape was spotted around the station. The trains are removed. Rollersoaker could be removed finally.

The ride was never truly popular in recent years, correct? Plus it never really seemed to have been fast, like what the Vekoma Splash Party is going to seemingly do if Yaz Waterworld's has anything to say.0

It was packed because of its low capacity. I can't really say much about the coaster because I passed it for years (funny right?) then finally got it about 2 seasons ago. Only one cycle and I got soaked. ehhh :/ I have barely any attachment to the ride. I was never a fan of the included small waterpark in the park but the slides and the Shoot the Chutes blocked the views of this ride in the back of the park.

The wooden steps leading up to the Rollersoaker coaster have been removed.

The park announced on facebook today: "If you’re in and around Hershey, you may notice some activity near Roller Soaker, our water roller coaster. After 11 years of service, Roller Soaker will be removed to make way for additional water attractions in 2013. More to come soon!"

I'm glad one of the Hershey oddities will go. This was one of the first of odd rides I didn't like installed after Great Bear.

My New Jersey style response: "Rollersoaker: Goodbye, good riddance."

They are carefully takingt this ride apart too. Unlike SOB, it surely isn't being torn apart. There is even pictures of the supports being placed on flatbed trailers. Draws more conclusion to the fact it is being sold to someone, if it hasn't already been.
