5/9/2003 May 9, 2003 - A worker at Gatorland, Orlando's alligator-filled theme park, was severely injured on Wednesday when one of the gators he was handling bit his head. Nathan Sweeting, 27, a handler in the park's alligator wrestling show, was sent to a local hospital after the incident and is in stable condition.
Witnesses state that Sweeting was handling one alligator when another followed and bit him in the forehead. Immediately, the show was halted for the remainder of the day, and Sweeting, bleeding profusely from several deep puncture wounds to his head, was rushed out.
