10/28/2003

HERSHEY, Pa. (ThrillNetwork.com) -- This year marks the 20th Anniversary of Christmas in Hershey. To celebrate the occasion, the town is debuting Hershey Sweet Lights: A Holiday Drive Through Spectacular, which shimmers with more than 1 million lights that create nearly 600 enchanting displays in 200 holiday scenes. The displays have been created by Midwest Displays of Marion, IN.

Thirteen of the light displays have been designed by local students and built especially for Hershey Sweet Lights; the displays will be donated back to the schools at the conclusion of the event, which runs November 14- January 3, 2004.

Twenty-eight schools submitted a total of 580 entries; from those entries, thirteen individual winners were chosen to have their designs created for Hershey Sweet Lights.
