Posted at 12:25 AM EDT (0425 GMT) May. 4th, 2005 -- If the NFL is serious about moving its draft out of its New York home, Disney World would love to play host. The theme park has indicated an interest in having the draft at the Wide World of Sports complex.
The
fact Disney-owned ESPN televises the draft gives the NFL a natural
tie-in, and Disney made a well-received presentation to the NFL a year
ago. However, the Vice President of Disney Sports Attractions, Reggie Williams, says the company is not engaging in any discussions with the NFL on the topic. The league considered Philadelphia this year, which remains
a possibility for next year, along with Chicago. The league is also
considering conducting the draft each year in the city whose team has
the first pick. See the Sun-Sentinel for more. Edited and posted by Aaron.
