News: Visionland holds contest for flume name

Posted at 2:46 AM EDT (0646 GMT)

May. 7th, 2005 -- Visionland is in search of a name for it's new log flume. After the successful naming contest for the new steel coaster, Zoomerang, the park decided to hold another contest with the new flume. The contest is now open and will last until May 18, 2005. The winner will be announced on May 20, 2005 and will receive 4 Platinum season passes. Participants may submit as many names as they wish.

The log flume is being built on the site of the old log flume, which was left inoperable when Southland Entertainment purchased the park out of bankruptcy in 2003.

Interesting way of picking a name, and getting publicity at the same time. Very good idea.
