Finance: Hanayashiki goes bankrupt

Jan. 20th, 2004 -- Hanayashiki is located in Tokyo's historic Asakusa area. The park is enclosed in many people's hearts, because it dates back to 1853 in Japan's feudal era.

The Resolution and Collection Corp (RCC) stated that Hanayashiki went under with liabilities of 8.2 billion yen. The RCC is a creditor to Togo, the well-known roller coaster manufacturer, which has run Hanayashiki since 1949.
