News: Wichita's latest park to open Friday

May. 26th, 2005 -- After the rocky schedule of openings and closings for Joyland Amusement Park, the owners of Wichita's All Star Sports East decided to transform the complex into an amusement park. With the renovation complete, the new park, to be known as All Star Adventures, will open tomorrow at 4 p.m.

All Star Adventures used to be mainly a complex of arcade games and go-karts, but now has several full-fledged rides, including a carousel and a Tilt-A-Whirl. A roller coaster is scheduled to be added next year.
