News: Great Escape wants to build hotel

Posted at 12:53 PM EST (1753 GMT)

Jan. 23rd, 2004 -- The Great Escape, a Six Flags park in Lake George, New York, wants to build a 200-room hotel with a 32,000 square-foot indoor waterpark by 2005.

The total cost of this project would cost somewhere in the neighborhood of $30,000,000. They want to complete the project by 2005 so that they can make money year-round, instead of just the normal park operating season. Locals are worried that this addition could bring about more traffic congestion.
