News: Ten couples take the plunge on Borg

Jul. 15th, 2005 -- Ten couples take the plunge into marriage by taking the plunge on Borg Assimilator at Paramount's Carowinds.

One of the couples had held hands for the first time on Borg and now they would be riding the Borg again as a married couple after a ceremony in the Borg station. Along with being married on the Borg, one of the brides said her prize included her wedding dress, the couple’s rings and two airline tickets to anywhere in the United States and tickets to Carowinds for the honeymoon. Besides friends and family, one of the "Borg Collective" was also on hand.

The Borg wedding wasn't the first at Paramount's Carowinds. About five years earlier there was a ceremony held on top of a nine-story water ride at the park.
