News: Guests see double at Astroland

Jul. 25th, 2005 -- Guests to Coney Island's Astroland yesterday saw double, triple, and more as the park hosted the Third Annual Twins and Multiples Day.

The event draws hundreds of multiples and their families to the park, and grows more popular every year. One in 27 births is a multiple birth, and this year's event was estimated to draw at least 1,000 people, more then twice the number two years ago.

The highlights of Twins and Multiples Day included a giant group photo of all the visiting multiples, followed by a talent show in which the various siblings competed against each other for cash prizes.
