News: IAAPI plans several new parks for India

Posted at 10:27 PM EST (0327 GMT)

Jan. 27th, 2004 -- The Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries plans on building nearly 500 new amusement parks, water parks, and various family fun centers. The IAAPI has nearly doubled their investments and decided to install some new parks and fun centers.

The company wants to make a broad range of amusement parks. Since India has a huge population, the company wants to get people to visit annually. Since more and more people already visit the existing parks, adding more of them could boost their funding.

Company officials have set some goals for their future parks to achieve. The officials want to place an amusement park or facility within each range of ten million people. With ideas ranging from an Ice Skating Dome, to lots of themed water parks, the company has a promising future.
