News: CBS Soap Guiding Light at PKD

Aug. 31st, 2005 -- DOSWELL, Va. - CBS Daytime presents the first ever “Guiding Light’s Superstar Saturday” at Paramount's Kings Dominion. The fan-based event, set to take place on Saturday, September 10, allows fans the chance to mix and mingle with their favorite stars. The star-studded day of excitement features autograph signings at the Eiffel Tower, question and answer sessions in the Paramount Theatre and casting calls at the Paramount Showplace. During the question and answer sessions, hosted by GUIDING LIGHT’S John Driscoll, fans will learn behind-the-scenes information about their favorite characters while the casting calls provide a chance for lucky participants to act out scenes with their favorite leading men. The day will close on a high note when all of the actors take part in karaoke at the Bandstand.

Actors confirmed to be in attendance are Kim Zimmer (Reva Shayne Lewis), Robert Newman (Josh Lewis),  Scott Bailey (Sandy Foster), Bradley Cole (Jeffrey O'Neill), John Driscoll ("Coop" Bradshaw), Beth Ehlers (Harley Cooper), Stephanie Gatschet (Tammy Winslow), Ricky Paull Goldin (Gus Aitoro), David Andrew Macdonald (Edmund Winslow), Tom Pelphrey (Jonathan Randall), Gina Tognoni (Dinah Marler) and Laura Wright (Cassie Winslow).  All biographies can be found on www.cbs.com/daytime/gl/about/bios.  For more information about the event, guests can log on to http://www.cbs.com/daytime/gl/superstar saturday/ or call Paramount's Kings Dominion at (804) 876-5000.

GUIDING LIGHT, the longest running daytime drama and nominated for a 2004 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, is broadcast weekdays (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network and is a Procter & Gamble Production.

Wow! Wish I was younger. I watched Guiding Light from the time I was like, 13 until I was like 34. Haven't watched it since. Too bad for me I guess. LOL!!
