Sep. 9th, 2005 -- With the average price of gasoline hovering around $3.00 a gallon, many properties frequented by tourists, particularly those popular with families, are seeing attendance drop as potential guests try to cut back on gas usage. The Wild Adventures amusement park is attempting to attract visitors back by offering free gasoline. For every regular ticket and annual pass purchased through Sept. 30, the buyer will receive a card good for $5 worth of gas at any Shell station. Owner Kent Buescher says that since the cost of traveling to a park often exceeds some families' budgets, Wild Adventures decided to assist guests in paying for the trip. Buyers can receive the cards for up to six tickets. The promotion is not offered at Buescher's other park, Cypress Gardens. Visit WALB Albany for more.
