Sep. 13th, 2005 -- Disney isn't wasting any time. A day after the grand opening of Hong Kong Disneyland, Disney chairman George Mitchell has announced that the company plans to build a second theme park in Hong Kong.
Disney has already begun reclaiming land for the new park. There was no word of the theme, possible attractions, or construction costs, considering that the park is still wholly in the design phase. Construction, which will begin once the reclamation ends, could start as early as 2010. Mitchell also took the time to state that any possible Disney park in Shanghai would not distract from developing Hong Kong Disneyland. Visit The Standard for more information.
