Industry Announcements: Kings Island premiers Nickelodeon Universe in 2006

Sep. 25th, 2005 -- On Friday Paramount's Kings Island announced a total of 18 new attractions Nickelodeon-themed attractions, including six rides. The additions, called Nick Universe, include two new Nickelodeon-based neighborhoods.

The new rides include a family roller coaster themed to the show "Avatar", a train ride based on "Dora the Explorer", and a miniature free fall featuring Plankton, the enemy of Spongebob Squarepants. The two new neighborhoods will respectively be themed to the shows "Dora the Explorer" and "Spongebob Squarepants". New restaurants and shops will also be added.

Kings Island says it will release more information regarding the new attractions after the park's WinterFest event concludes at the end of the year.
