Industry Announcements: Thrills and Chills and Six Flags Darien Lake

Oct. 5th, 2005 -- DARIEN CENTER, NY- When guests visit Six Flags Darien Lake this fall, raging roller coasters won't be the only thing that will get them screaming. More than 100 ghosts, goblins and costumed characters will scare the YELL out of guests at Fright Fest 2005! During the month of October, Six Flags Darien Lake presents the largest Halloween-themed family event in New York State with roaring rides, spooky live shows and haunted attractions.

The event includes live shows such as "Dr. Fright's Deadman's Party" and the children's show "Monster Mash." In addition, Fright Fest features the only Halloween-themed laser light show in Western New York, "Laserblast Spooktacular," as well as a Trick-or-Treat Trail, costume parades, Brutal Planet Haunted House (additional charge), "Zombie Zones," strolling "scareactors," and more. Fright Fest offers non-threatening characters as well to interact with little ghosts and goblins.

To make a whole weekend of the event, guests can stay at any of our
accommodations for only $99 per night for a family of four. You can also
bring your own tent or camper for only $45 a night. Fantastic fall foliage
on-site accommodation packages are available at the fall season discounted rate and include theme park admission. Halloween activities, including, pumpkin carving, scarecrow making contests and a whole lot more. New this year, Brunch with Bugs Bunny, hurry spots are booking up fast. Fright Fest operates weekends October 7-30, Friday 6p.m. - 10p.m., Saturday 1p.m. - 10p.m., Sunday from 1p.m. - 8p.m. Admission is $16.99 adults and $9.99 children under 48". Children two and under are free.
