News: Baby gorilla born at Busch Gardens Tampa

Nov. 21st, 2005 -- For the first time in the history of Busch Gardens Tampa, a baby gorilla was born over the weekend. The baby gorilla was birthed through Caesarian after the mother was experiencing problems.

The baby is being cared for inside the theme park's animal hospital until it is ready to be introduced into it's habitat in the park. The birth of the baby brings the park's total of gorillas to seven.
