A group of potential buyers to the standing, but not operating Ghost Town in the Sky theme park lobbied their ideas with local officials last week. The group includes an owner of waterparks and an owner of a Scenic Railroad. The group discussed ideas with Maggie Valley, NC government in hopes of acquiring the park from current owner R.B. Coburn. The group would invest $12 million in the park, which would open up 285 jobs in the region. They also would extended the operating season and daily hours in hopes of generating more revenue.
