News: Ride fire at Gold Coast WB Movie World

Dec. 5th, 2003 -- According to reports, a fire erupted on the Wild West Ride at Movie World on the Gold Coast of Australia.

The Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said the fire broke out at 6:15pm.  The park was closed at the time, and no injuries were reported although the ride itself had sustained major damage before the fire was brought under control at 6:45pm.

In total, six fire companies were called upon to control the blaze.
