Posted at 1:51 PM EST (1851 GMT)  Dec. 5th, 2005 -- HERSHEY, PA - Children of all ages will delight in the special activities scheduled throughout December at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane.
On Friday, December 2, the Jolly Old Man himself will be honored during “Santa’s Birthday Party.” The festivities begin at 6 p.m. in Minetown Restaurant, when Mr. Music leads the crowd in his own rendition of “The Birthday Song.” Children 12 and younger will receive a free birthday cupcake.
Members of the Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club (PSDC) and Tails of the Tundra, Siberian Husky Rescue group will visit Hersheypark Christmas Candylane on Saturday, December 3. The group will present informative and entertaining programs at 12:30, 2, 3:30, and 6:30 p.m. at Creekside Catering. Each show will include a mini sled dog race, a briefing on the history of sled dog racing, an explanation of the equipment and its uses, and a question-and-answer session.
Jay Jay The Jet Plane® will make an appearance at Sweet Treat Storytime on Sundays, December 4 and 18. Guests will be treated to a story told by a local celebrity at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. in the Wok –N- Roll Restaurant. Following the story, children 12 and younger will each receive a sweet treat.
Make all your holiday wishes come true at Hersheypark Christmas Candylane! Meet and greet Wish Bear TM, one of the famous Care Bears, on Saturday, December 17 from 2 to 3 p.m. near Santa's Stables.
On Monday, December 19, “Feel the Roar” of the Hershey Bears! Meet players from the Hershey Bears American Hockey League team during a public autograph session from 5:45 to 6:45 p.m.
