News: Disneyland employee hospitalized

Posted at 12:40 AM EST (0540 GMT)

Dec. 18th, 2005 -- One Disneyland employee was sent to the hospital and eight others were evaluated after mixed chemicals created smoke in a maintenance area, officials said.

A mixture of resin with a catalyst produced smoke, and one employee with a history of asthma was taken to a hospital. Firefighters and a hazmat team responded to a maintenance shop for fibreglass vehicles about 2:30 p.m. Saturday, said an official with the Anaheim Fire Department.

Disneyland's steam train was closed for three hours as a precautionary measure. No one was evacuated from the park.

This incident appears unrelated to an incident Friday.
