News: Timeshare possibly coming to Busch Gardens Williamsburg

Feb. 9th, 2006 -- Landmark Resort Properties has purchased 65 acres located next to Busch Gardens Williamsburg and the entrance to the Williamsburg Country Club.  The seller's broker said that the new owner is considering a timeshare development due to the location next to two significant entertainment venues.

The property had been called Park View by the previous owner because of the view of Busch Gardens next door. 

The property had been on the market a couple of times previous, but had problems with utility service and being broken up in to separate parcels.  Those problems have been solved with some land swaps and other agreements, and with a rezoning, the property will work well for a timeshare in the future.

No timetable or other plans were announced at the time.
