News: Man injured on Walt Disney World ride

Posted at 6:08 PM EST (2308 GMT)

Feb. 15th, 2006 -- A 71-year-old man visiting Walt Disney World with his wife and granddaughter was pinned under a boat when boarding the Peter Pan ride. He apparently slipped on a moving walkway as he was getting on board, and was pinned under one of the passenger boats before an employee was able to stop the ride.

He was flown to a hospital Tuesday evening after being freed from the ride. He reportedly was in "very stable" condition with scrapes and bruises.

The ride was closed for the rest of Tuesday, but reopened Wednesday after it was determined that there were no mechanical problems on the ride.

Well of course it was not mechanical if they guy slipped and fell. I will go out of my head if there is a law suit over this thing. Pay the man's bill if you must, but don't give him any extra. It is very unfortunate, but law suits get under my skin in situations like this.

Man and here I thought I was the once one that got ticked off at those types of law suits...My dad was on a jury for a suit here in florida and they gave the one lady some money because the company was at fault but the other lady they told her to go fly a kite because she had no case what so ever, they wouldnt have picked me for a jury since I know all about themepark rides.
